The topics covered have in common the system approach with applications to telecommunications, decision systems, computer systems, medical imaging, computer vision and optimisation.
The skill base of the various actors ranges from theoretical to applied computer science. These theoretical studies are used in multidisciplinary application research.
The research axes concern computer science and its applications and aim at developing methodological and algorithmic tools for modelling processes, information and knowledge processing, image and signal processing and complex systems. These tools are used in a few privileged fields of experimentation (medical imaging, decision support, production systems, data warehousing and mining, wireless networks and system optimisation).
These research areas are associated with PRFU projects, four Master's courses in the Department of Computer Science and a 3-cycle doctoral course will be supported by this laboratory.
